My future job

Hello, I study “Pedagogia en educación parvularia”, this is my fourth year.

When I was child, I remember that I always love teaches to my little brother, and when I was in the school I love help to my friends and classmates with the tests or homework’s. So I was connecting with the pedagogy. And also I always accompanied my mother to the work because I like to go or I had “mamitis”; she is a teacher of secondary. So, I have a lot of reason for study my career because I always now in my heart that I want to be a teacher. (I want to be other things to, for example a singer, a sealer of teddy’s, kinesiology, professional violinist, teacher of violinist, teacher of music.)

If you asking me where I want to job, I say I don’t know. Why? Because an “Educadora de parvulos”, can work in so many parts, that I don’t know what I love more. I had many practices in different places like Sename, kindergarten, schools, laborer kindergarten… Maybe I like more Sename and … but I am not very sure, because I really want work in a place that the children’s need me.

I think that you are always travel with the children’s, because they have a big imagination and you can’t reduce your and theirs imagination, you have to think like them to understand what they are tried to say to you.

I really love this career because you can work outdoors and indoors, you have both of them. One day you can stay in the classroom, another day in a park, in the office making papers, a lot of things.

About my salary… I don’t expect too much, I now that “educadoras de parvulos” doesn’t make lots of money, the salary is about 500-600 Chilean pesos.

I really want to study a master in music to the childhood maybe in Spain, because is not thing very studied, so I want to contribute in this and in my formation I don’t have a music subject. So I would like to complete my formation.

    I'm agree with your perspective about the imagination of the children. My mom is a "Educadora de Párvulos" and a big part of my inspiration to work in education comes from there.

    Even is not very studied I think that music to childhood is a very good option because music is a very useful tool to teach to the children

A CAREER-RELATED SUBJECT YOU'VE ENJOYED THIS TERM

First I have to say that I don’t like anyone subject this year, so, I will talk about the last year. Last year I had “Creatividad y expresiones infantiles primer ciclo”. Postgraduate studies

What course I would like to do? My wish is do a master in music therapy or music in the developing in the childhood. Because in my formation I didn’t have subjects about that, so I feel that I had to learn about it. Another reason for study a master in music, it’s because I’m violinist and I want learning more about it. And my thesis is about it.  I want study this in Chile but in this country the master doesn’t exists, so I had to go far away, for example in Spain or maybe in Argentina. So if for any idea of god, exits a distance learning I will be very happy. I am not saying that I don’t want to travel, but, my dream is complement my job, studies and my family. I said family because I want to be mom not very old. Maybe a part time master will be a good idea for complement what I think is important.  I want to do a doctorate in music too, because I want to be an “educadora de parvulos” in the kindergartens system until my 35 years old, because it’s not the same energ...

THE BEST HOLIDAYS EVER

It is hard for me talk about just one holidays, because in my childhood I always had a very special and happy holiday, because in the most of them, I was traveling with my grandmother and my grandfather, and other family members. I remember one of them, in that holidays, we went to beach of Cartagena. I think it was about 2003 -In that time I had five years old- we were there about one moth o maybe more I do not remember very well.   In that year, they were my uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins and my nuclear family (dad, mom, big sister, little brother and me). The house was FULL! The laugh’s was always present in all the day, the only bad thing was that the food was ending very fast, because my cousins had a very big stomach –they are still like that today-.     One day, the climb was not very good, so we cannot go to the beach for swimming, so my parents and my uncles decided go to the beach but just for collect seashells, my grandparents did not go so they lef...
